Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail: Which Users Are Most Generous?

A new study reveals Google Gmail users make larger charitable donations than users from other free email services like Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL Mail, according to data from online donation company Qgiv. The report reveals that Gmail users gave $143 per donation — 16 percent more per donation than Yahoo users, 11 percent more than Hotmail users and 4 percent more than AOL Mail users. The findings are based on 320,000 donations made through Qvig’s online system and the email aliases the donors used. But one of the study’s key findings had nothing to do with free email clients.
