A teacher at Denton High School in Texas asked students to write
a report demonstrating different sentence structures. They could
write about anything they wanted, said Dewey Christian. But when
Marshall Williams turned in a report on attending a ;gun
show ;in Fort Worth, Christian said he was giving him a
zero because of the topic. A spokesman for the school district told
local media that, after the boy’s mother complained, the teacher
accepted the paper and apologized to Williams.
