Ladies: Do you often feel misunderstood by men? Do they fail to pick up on fairly obvious nonverbal signals, such as expressions of fear or disgust? Newly published research suggests your perception is entirely valid — but it’s not his fault.A study from Germany finds that men do a much better job of interpreting one vital set of signals — the emotions conveyed by the eyes — when they’re communicating with another man, compared to another woman.“The finding that men are superior in recognizing emotions/mental states of other men, as compared to women, might be surprising,” a research team led by psychiatrist Boris Schiffer reports in the journal PLOS ONE. Texas A&M students pass measure to defund LGBT campus groups, State House considers similar proposal
Texas A&M University’s Student Senate approved a measure to allow students to deny funding to campus LGBT groups if they have religious objections. Meanwhile, the Texas House of Representatives is currently considering a proposal to defund all LGBT campus resource centers. The hearing and subsequent vote on the measure at A&M was an emotionally charged event, as reported by the Dallas Voice:Less than 24 hours before the vote, the name of the bill was changed from the “GLBT Funding Opt Out Bill” to the “The Religious Funding Exemption Bill,” and specific references to the GLBT Resource Center were removed. Kurt Loder Reviews Oz the Great and Powerful

Gretel: Witch Hunters and Jack the Giant Slayer
(which tanked last weekend), Raimi’s Oz the Great and
Powerful is untainted by modernist irony—it carries us back to
the clear-cut emotions and moral outlooks of traditional fairy
tales and asks us to take them straight. And while the digital
marvels with which these sorts of movies now swarm have come to
seem rote, this film deploys them with fresh glee. View this article.

Some women will confuse the intimacy with love, leaving them open to be hurt. For this reason, it is imperative that women heal and let go of the fairytale before entering into a casual relationship for sex.
After her divorce, Lana was terrified of going out for drinks with the girls. After being in a sexless marriage for years, her strong craving for sex and intimacy were driving her crazy. She did not trust herself and pictured herself jumping into the sack with the first man she met. She felt a battle going on inside of her mind: One side saying that it is perfectly normal for her to have these desires and to act upon them, while the other side seemed to shout that she is supposed to deny her desires and remain a good girl and a good role model to her children.
