“Anchorman” actor, “SNL” alum and Old Milwaukee fand Will Ferrell, who in 2011 was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for Humor, is earning another recognition for his comedic talent.MTV will grant Ferrell its first-ever Comedic Genius Award, given to an actor who has “transformed the genre” of comedy, at the upcoming MTV Music Awards show. “Will Ferrell epitomizes what it means to be a comedic genius and it’s only fitting that he should be the inaugural recipient of this award,” said MTV’s president Stephen Friedman.“Over the course of his extraordinary, 17-plus-year career, he has entertained audiences across the globe with an impressive array of laugh-out-loud performances on air, online and in films. ‘Community’ Premiere: See How Different The Show Looks Without Creator Dan Harmon (VIDEO)
After a long hiatus, the new season of “Community” kicked off, and it looked quite a bit different. In what TV.com thought was a clever nod to the behind-the-scenes drama, the Season 4 premiere featured a show-within-the-show, or more specifically, a show within Abed’s mind.
Abed was stressing about this being their senior year — and thus their last year together — and so he was encouraged to find a happy place inside his mind. Not surprisingly, that place was a lot like a traditional sitcom, complete with a laugh track. Was this “a recognition of how Community might be if NBC had its way completely with the show,” as TV.com wrote?
Series creator and showrunner Dan Harmon was let go, thus making this the first episode without his unique and strange creative vision steering the ship. While there were some differences in tone and presentation, one thing that didn’t change was the surreal craziness of the whole thing.

A cunning, sweet-talking kid, this year’s E-Trade baby explains in the 30-second spot all the awesomely outlandish things you could do with the money you could save if you joined the financial services company: become an astronaut with your dog, chill in a hot tub with a giant panda, and take your skimpily-clad friends on a joyride on your ship, to name a few.
