Samsung’s fabled Galaxy Note III could be the stuff of legends if the latest rumors have any credibility. That’s because we’re now hearing that the successor to the Note II could ship with an eight-core CPU and an eight-core GPU, all packed behind a 5.99-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. … … Read More
Shikha Dalmia on Why the GOP Should Become the Party of Immigration
Immigration restrictionists are
right when they argue that proposed “comprehensive” reform won’t do
the GOP much good with Hispanics. But that isn’t because, as the
restrictionists believe, Latinos are welfare-grubbing,

Matt Ridley on How Fossil Fuels are Greening the Planet
Matt Ridley,
author of The Red Queen, Genome, The Rational
Optimist and other books, dropped by Reason’s studio in Los
Angeles last month to talk about a curious global trend that is
just starting to receive attention. Over the past three decades,
our planet has gotten greener!
Even stranger, the greening of the planet in recent decades
appears to be happening because of, not despite, our
reliance on fossil fuels. While environmentalists often talk about
how bad stuff like CO2 causes bad things to happen like global
warming, it turns out that the plants aren’t complaining.
Approximately 18 minutes.
